Volunteering time & energy for the good of Ferry County

Many of our employees are active in the community, volunteering their time and efforts for the people of Ferry County. Below are just a few of those who are doing so; many others prefer to remain anonymous, but labor just the same. Check out what we’re doing with you!


Patty Slagle: RHS Music Booster President, Republic Business and Professional Women Treasurer, Republic GEAR UP Grant Advisory Committee, Parent Liaison, Boy Scout Troop 61 – Unit Coordinator (proud mother of 1 Eagle Scout and 2 Life Scouts), RHS Booster Club, member, Community Youth Sports Assn. – Treasurer/Board Member

Josh Connor: RHS track coach, volunteer firefighter

Jim Corbett: Youth Dynamics steering committee chair, Republic Nazarene Church board member, BSA assistant scout master

Jim Milner: Republic Chamber of Commerce Trustee and former President, Ferry County Search and Rescue Vice-President, Ferry County EMS & Trauma Care Council citizen representative, Republic Youth Action Coalition leadership team

Ferry County Health employees participate in and help plan and run multiple community activities.

Prospectors’ Days

Jim Milner (event organizing committee member, soapbox derby and parade organizer), Melissa Hawn (parade organizer), Mike Jager (horseshoes tournament coordinator and parade organizer)

Nina Novikoff and FCH Wellness Committee (Gold Rush Run organizers)

The hospital also provides its parking lot for parade staging, and participates in the parade.
